Why Politics R So Frustrating

Why can't politics stick to the truth? And why do those who are in favor of saving something so dear to them (and everything it represents) resort to dirty antics to sway voters? I just received a note from Geoff Kors, Executive member on the No on 8 committee stating that proponents of the gay marriage ban just released a mailer that incorrectly states that Obama supports Prop 8 in California.
