Will Daruma Do It Again?

When Chris visited Asia last fall, he brought me back a Daruma doll. It's one of the most popular talismans of good luck in modern Japan. The armless, legless, and at first, eyeless tumbling doll has brought me prosperity in the past - especially concerning finding a job.

So today, I have plans to find some black paint (most likely black fingernail polish from Target) to color in the left eye while making a wish. When it comes true, I'll decorate the right eye. And in these economic times, I need all the help I can get.
