Going After Harpo

With the arrival of June comes my pursuit of a production position with Harpo and the new Dr. Oz show. I've always wanted to return to production responsibilities as they are some of my most memorable professional experiences. But because these types of jobs are limited in Chicago, and I have over 16 years of marketing experience (with writing/producing activities scattered throughout), it's a bit difficult to get the attention of those responsible for hiring. They worry, "Will he be willing to start over and take direction?"

So, I've turned my attention to Facebook and my friends who might know someone at Harpo. I've received some notices that some have contacts. As a result, I'm now crafting emails to forward to them so they, in turn, can pass along to Harpo. Nothing ventured. Nothing gained.
