We've Got a Long Way 2 Go, Baby

Governor Pat Quinn signed the Illinois Civil Union bill today. SB1716, or the "Illinois Religious Freedom Protection and Civil Union Act," gives couples some of the same benefits automatically available to those who are married. The problem I have with the bill is the "some" vs. "all." And when you combine this with the fact that the Federal government still views us as far from equal, our separation becomes even more apparent and unfortunate.
