Pink Trash Travels

Antique Shopping (Well, Almost)

We went looking at antiques today. I've been hunting for an old Bavarian hutch that's traditionally painted. We've found a few in the past, but I refuse to pay $15K for a piece of furniture from the 1800s. Today, I spotted one from th 1940s. However, it's not officially an antique. The piece is over 60 years old (vs. 100), is from Bavaria and still has its original paint - slightly faded but still quite colorful (I actually prefer it to be the original paint vs. refurbished). Do I care it's not an additional 40 years old especially if it's only $500? Not really. So I'm thinking we're making a visit to the dealer tomorrow to make the purchase. My only question is how we'll get it home. I don't know if they deliver. And I refuse to carry that sucker up six flights of stairs.
