"Everybody has preconceived notions.... Everybody thinks Chicago is Siberia when it comes to late fall and winter."
Chicago is cold, but it's hardly Siberia come winter. Being from Kansas, the Sunflower state can be colder - and usually is. Chicago just takes longer to thaw.
