Hello August

Another day, another month. Goodbye July and hello August. Where has the summer gone?

Back when I was a child, the 8th month seemed to launch the back-to-school campaigns (and sinking feeling in your stomach that early mornings were just around the corner). Now, of course, that's not an issue. Instead, August opens up to travels with Fire Island in two weeks and Mykonos in four. I suppose it's the European lifestyle still creeping into our American lives.
