How it Works in Hollywood

I'm an avid follower of the dynamics of television - the ratings, casting process, etc. So of course I found THIS interview with Steve Levitan, showrunner for Modern Family, very interesting. In the piece Levitan helps the reader (and viewer) to understand how he and his partner selected characters for one of my favorite shows, his thoughts behind the creative process, and the whole "Hollywood" approach in general.
