Touring Mykonos

We're not fans of beaches, but when in Greece, do as the they do (and thousands of other tourists). So, we rented a car and drove cautiously to Elia beach around noon on Wednesday. The beach itself isn't that gorgeous, but the view out to see is what makes the difference. That, and visiting the beaches is a social call as well - a preview of who will be at the Elysium for sunset cocktails just a few hours later.

As we returned from Elia beach, we stopped alongside the road to capture an "above" view of Mykonos - and one that includes our hotel. Sure, it was dangerous (and a bit too sunny), but the scenery is spectacular.

Most nights, we're high above Mykonos town at the Elysium for sunset drinks. But this night, we decided to remain at the hotel as the sunsets are just as beautiful (even more so at times).
