This, of course, was after a day of running around Chicago trying to secure everything from soccer shorts, to a white belt to a notary's stamp for the power of attorney document for closing. I didn't mind the first few escapades, but the last, the notary, took me to a Currency Exchange on the South side of Chicago as our bank couldn't provide a witness to the signatures. So, I stood in line behind some of the smelliest people just to get an approved John Hancock. It only cost $2, but it would have been nice to find a notary more on the North side, closer to where I began my day, vs. driving through Friday traffic to be kept waiting in a line with those cashing first of the month checks for booze.
But now I'm Robert's swinging mid-century home - a house used for Playboy photo shoots. So where I'm sitting was actually the former resting place of a blonde bombshell wearing nothing but an aqua pair of panties and high heels to match. If only I could share the photo. Believe me, it's priceless. And don't worry, they cleaned-up after themselves. I asked.
