Seat Police
As I was riding the wrong train home today from the gym, I sat down and crossed my legs (not in the lady fashion but the 90 degree manly way). A man across from me, who works for the transportation department, started speaking to me in German - pointing at my shoes. I thought he was commenting on my new t-shirt material Chucks. However, after a few finger gestures, I realized he was telling me (or asking me) not to put my shoes on the seats. Considering my shoe wasn't on the seat, but instead in front of (possibly touching it slightly at some point), I wanted to reply back with some remark. However, I decided it was more advantageous to just let it go. Just goes to show how particular the Germans can be.
