Ewwww!

Because the plumbing in Greece isn't up to par, some hotels and dining establishments ask you not to put ANY paper down the toilet. This includes, of course, no paper towels but also toilet paper. So, if you "do a #2," forget flushing the squares. Instead, they ask you to place them in a trash can next to the toilet. Gross. Not only do I find this disturbing, I feel sorry for those who have to empty the receptacles. What a horrible job.
