Gym Tales
Somebody approached me today about helping him with a new workout routine. Apparently he's bored with his current sets. However, there's more to the story than just a helping hand. I'm fairly certain he wants the interaction. Not that it's all about me, but you know when there's more to the request than just securing a workout buddy.
He asked if he could "shadow" me next week. What could I say but, "I guess." Then, I quickly tried to squash the idea by saying, "I don't like working out with anybody."
I don't. I prefer to listen to my music - with beats pumping in my ear to help me stay motivated and control my repetitions.
So now what do I do? It's not like we set a time and day, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get out of any commitment by starting or ending my workout before or after he arrives. That, or I suppose I could just ignore him. But, that's not being very nice. I don't need Karma to come back and bite me in the ass.
