Overcompensating
Today while shopping at Barney's Co-op, we ran into two couples who couldn't help but to be noticed - which is exactly what they wanted (especially the husbands). As they walked through the men's department, the overly compensating males spoke loudly about their preferences in clothes, granite, and snowboarding. One monkey tried on a shirt, then when it didn't fit, removed it while standing in the middle of store. He then strutted back to the dressing room shirtless. I refused to look as that's exactly what he wanted (not that there was anything to see as Chris got a glimpse and quickly gave the thumbs down).
Upon their exit 15 minutes later, I couldn't help but to comment to the sales clerk, "How annoying." She replied, "Exactly. But they did have a Black Card." All of which means they had money. But, sadly enough, the men felt the need to be obnoxious and filled with attitude. I guess that's what happens when you're overcompensating for something.
