Oktoberfest Off Limits!

If you could read German (and some of you can), then you'd know from this article that the Oktoberfest grounds will be closed this year during construction. For those of you, like me, who can't, I just informed you. Either way, it's sad as wandering around is part of the fun leading up to the big event. Maddie and I spent many August and September nights walking the grounds watching the the erection of everything from beer tents to rollercoasters. Some say the law won't be enforced - essentially stating you "enter at your own risk." I hope so. I'd hate for Maddie and I to be deprived of summer fun all because of an idiotic bicycler who sued the city from injuries sustained while riding through the park.
