I Wonder

Here's what Chris and I discussed the other night at dinner. Would it be appropriate for someone to enter into a Mexican restaurant in Chicago and speak to the staff in Spanish? I told Chris this might not be acceptable as it's making a big assumption. I compared it to an alternate situation where someone might enter into an Chinese restaurant in San Francisco speaking Chinese. Sure, you'd be speaking another language to be pleasant, but it might roll off the tongue as disrespectful. Now, go talk amongst yourselves.
