Kelly Clarkson Does It Again

I enjoy Kelly Clarkson's new song, My Life Would Suck Without You (as does the rest of America as it makes the biggest jump to #1 leaping from 97 to the top spot this week). Sure, it's not a giant step forward in terms of creative development. But the song returns the former winner of American Idol back to her pop roots after experimenting with a new sound on her last release, My December.

I do find it funny, however, that she's getting good reviews for the track - even though it sounds like a sister release to Since U Been Gone. I remember when Madonna was slammed by Billboard Magazine back in 1987 for Causing A Commotion and its lack of originality (yes, I was a music freak back then - arriving to work at Musicland at least 30 minutes before I was scheduled to start my shift so could sit in the back and read Billboard Magazine).
