Pink Trash Travels

There's a big problem with having numerous pairs of Chucks (and many similar to keep some in better condition for work). Your'e bound to grab two of the same - rights or lefts. Something I discovered today at the gym. Good thing I had a back-up pair of sneakers.

Making a Mockery

Now that Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce after just 72 days, can we finally accept that it's not the gays who are destroying the sanctity of marriage? Why don't the haters of marriage equality focus their nasty efforts on heterosexuals who make a mockery of marriage, yet are allowed to turn around and do it again, and again, and again?

Someone Finally Took My Advice

Howling @ Joe

Joe Manganiello hosted a night at Moon Nightclub at The Palms Hotel and Casino Las Vegas this past weekend. I'm sure he had the men and women howling at the moon all night long. Loving the hints of gray in the beard.

We're now infatuated with Bitch Pudding. Check her out HERE in (what I believe is) her first appearance on Adult Swim. "Blam! You all get a taste of the Bitch Pudding."

Pink Trash Travels 2: Michigan 4 Halloween

This weekend, we traveled a bit North and around the lake to Saugatuck, MI. Our friends Mike and Steve invited us, along with a few other friends, to celebrate Halloween in the little, gay resort town.

We've never been to Michigan for Halloween - always finding our way there to celebrate Fourth of July. So we thought it would be fun to check it out. That, and I didn't need to stay in Chicago for another lame evening out on Halsted.

We decided to be some version of a Scout as it was easy to execute. That, and everyone could put their own stamp on their uniform. So a few hours before the parade, we prepped our costumes. From there, we socialized with a few others who stopped by pre-event. And around 10 p.m., we made our way outside to freeze while we watched the parade (as it was only about 38 degrees).

As you can see in the photo above, I was a bit cold. Some may think I was flexing - trying to make my arms bigger by crossing them. No. Quite the contrary. All I wanted was to stay warm. The price you pay to be the "slutty" Boy Scout.

Looking 4 a Costume Idea?

How about Bitch Puddin'? Check out the video HERE (sorry sharing disabled so you have to click on the link to view).

More Cavill

It just never gets old. How could it? Look at him.

Keeps Getting Better

Justin Timberlake seems to only get better with time. He's funny, charismatic and extremely talented. And it doesn't hurt that he's attractive. I'm not sure his movie opening this weekend will be a big money maker, but he continues to chug along as an actor. Now if only he'd go back to making some music to compliment his numerous other careers.

The Final Result: Hungarian Beef Goulash

It looks better than it tasted. A bit bland. All of which pushes me further away from the kitchen. I could have spent less money and less time on a dinner that tasted much better.

$100 Later

We now have enough (we hope) Halloween candy for the 1,000+ trick-or-treaters on Monday. Those little monsters better appreciate the fact that I gave up a Vince shirt for their happiness.

Penis Fighting Back?

Is it just me, or does this new Tums "Fighting Back" commercial look like the old lady is getting slapped around by a big penis. Check it out and decide for yourself.

Have U Met Anthony Carrino

Yep, the other reason to watch HGTV's Kitchen Cousins. Just look at those big, bulging arms. "Yeah, that's right, you take that...hammer...or wrench...or whatever that tool is...and pound that bitch."

Have U Met John Colaneri?

I introduced Chris to HGTV's Kitchen Cousins tonight. And now that I've had a chance to watch a second episode, I can't stop gushing about hottie John Colaneri. I like the show. But I like him best.

More Cavill as Superman

Do you really need any more reasons to see the reboot of Superman with Henry Cavill? Nope.

PTT Gets Political

According to a recent poll, nearly two out of three Americans believe that wealth is unfairly distributed in the country. Now I'm going to get some slack for this, but "of course they do!" Many of these individuals are probably the very same ones that want to blame others for getting fat. In other words, take responsibility for your actions, work hard, and maybe perhaps you'll be in a better financial place (it's not guaranteed, I know). Let the emails come...

Sidebar: And no, we're not rich, and not part of the top 1%. I do, however, believe that you should work for your rewards and not be given them to you on a silver platter - or tax payer supported grocery buying program where users spend money on soda and chips.

PTT Makes Hungarian Beef Goulash

A recipe on Yahoo! today made me want to experiment with cooking. Perhaps the November cold and wet weather also had some influence. In any case, Hungarian Beef Goulash is bubbling in the crock pot. So after our closing on our refi tonight (thanks to Doug Smith and his team at Guaranteed Rate), we'll be enjoying a hearty meal. That, or we'll be throwing one away because I messed up big time.

In Celebration of Halloween

The first few Halloween clips re-imagined by the creative team at Adult Swim on Cartoon Network.

Welcome Theo

It was announced today that Theo Epstein is the new General Manager of the Chicago Cubs. Welcome Theo. I'm not a big baseball fan, but I can appreciate a handsome man.

The Fate of a Fairy Tale

I give ABC credit for trying something new and inventive with Once Upon a Time. The show about fairy tale characters living in modern day without knowing who they are is very creative with subtle nuances to keep you engaged. The only problem is the show took a bit too long to get to the heart of the story. That, and I don't think America is smart enough to play along. All of which means the show may not make it to season two. We'll know tomorrow when ratings are published, but my guess is it will debut with mild numbers and fall from there.

UPDATE: In series-premiere news, ABC fantasy drama Once Upon a Time was amply sampled at 12.79 million viewers (#2) and a 3.9/10 among adults 18-49 (#3) at 8 p.m. Comparably, that built from year-ago time period occupant Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (Viewers: 9.02 million; A18-49: 2.4/ 6 on 10/24/10) by a hefty 3.77 million viewers and 62 percent in the demo. Most shows drop 10-20% their second week. But ABC should be happy with the initial results.

The Longest, Argument Ever

Fakin' It

I like watching HGTV's House Hunters International. But knowing the featured house hunter already knows which house he or she will be buying, and that the others are purely for show, it takes a bit away from the "reality" program.

Just Weird

This shot of Joey Lawrence working out in West Hollywood hit the web today. Is it just me, or does he look odd - quite odd actually? The hair. The face. Something ain't right. Maybe it's the shorts? Or the complete package?

Streaker Gets Slammed

I feel sorry for the guy who streaked across the field at a University of Arizona vs. UCLA football game. He was tackled only wearing a Speedo - which, I might add, fit him quite well. Check out the video below.

Ah, That's Sweet

Good to know Go-Go boys are getting APPRECIATED in West Hollywood.

Googling Stephen Bray

I've always said Regina's Baby Love, from 1986, sounded like a Madonna recording. What I learned today was that it was written and produced by Stephen Bray - the hitmaker who turned out some of the biggest Madonna hits of the 1980s, as well as a few others, including:

Angel, Madonna
Stay, Madonna
Pretender, Madonna
Over and Over, Madonna
Into the Groove, Madonna
Desperately Seeking Susan, Madonna (unreleased)
True Blue, Madonna
Spotlight, Madonna
Causing a Commotion, Madonna
Express Yourself, Madonna
Keep It Together, Madonna
Cross My Broken Heart, The Jets
Sendin' All My Love, The Jets
Right On Track, The Breakfast Club

Blogging Live: Yard Work

Home ownership has its downside. Like constantly raking fall leaves. The photo depicts one day's worth. Ugh.

My Doppleganger?

My friend Valerie sent me an email this morning asking, "Have you ever heard of Big Time Rush? You remind me of James." So of course, I had to Google James. I need to get clarification on exactly why she thinks of me when she either hears or sees James because I don't see it - at all.

It Getteth Better

God says "it getteth better" in this just released video. I especially appreciate his thoughts on the landscaping and Ryan Reynolds.

This is More Like It

Details released more pictures of cover model David Gandy. Better. Much better. I way approve.

Update: I just stumbled across this quote from Gandy. Sounds very familiar. Too familiar actually.

“I don’t particularly like much of my body. I’m very critical of myself. I think I’m pretty much a perfectionist in anything I do so I’m never going to be happy. I’m not saying it’s a good thing, believe me. People can criticise me and try to bring me down but I tell them, ‘You can’t be as hard on me as I am on myself, so don’t even try.’”

With just over 200,000 viewers tuning in for The Rosie Show on OWN, I'm wondering how long Oprah will keep the talker chugging along. I'm guessing at least a year but look for it to get cancelled in 2013.

Still Making Hits

After Pon de Replay hit big in 2005, who ever thought that Rihanna would still be around 7 years later? I'm a fan, but could be bigger if she wasn't a bit cold. Check out her latest produced by Calvin Harris who's big in the UK electro scene (currently riding high with Bounce featuring Kelis).

Trevino 4 Bench

I've never heard of Bench underwear. Perhaps that's why the company has chosen Vampire Diaries hottie Michael Trevino as its newest model.

HGTV Hot Kitchen Cousins

After watching an episode of NBC's Up All Night on demand, the TV returned to HGTV. To my surprise, there was a show on called Kitchen Cousins. What caught my eye were the two contractors featured in the kitchen make-over show. So I Googled to find out the names of the handsome fellas. I'm happy to introduce you to John Colaneri and Anthony Carriono who say, "We're pretty normal guys." Normal perhaps. Handsome for sure.

Looking Super!

Henry Cavill looks quite super on the new Men's Health. I'd say this is the his most "Superman-like" resemblance (hair, face and of course, body) since they announced he'd be playing the Man of Steel. Of course, this magazine cover is for the promotion of Immortals (opening 11/11/11). In any case, he caught my attention.

I've received a few emails asking, "What happened to Club One?" I have to admit, I've been lazy in featuring special tracks of the moment. So, for those of you needing new music, go HERE for a performer seeking her record breaking seventh #1 single off one album. The remix, by 7th Heaven, is (you guessed it) "heavenly."

Bad Angle

If I was the model on the cover of this month's Details, I'd ask for a reshoot. Don't get me wrong, he's hot (and I love his work). But the angle of this photo isn't the most flattering to his mid section. It's as though he has an odd pooch. Cover up his chest, then do the reverse, the two don't go together!

I'm a big fan of low fat Greek yogurt. It's thicker, packed with more protein and doesn't have as much lactose and sugar as the traditional varities. Drizzle some organic Agave on top, sprinkle with a bit of granola, and you have yourself a delightful breakfast snack - or anytime snack really. Just another helpful hint for those of you who hoping to slim down, or pack on some quality muscle. Just because it's fall doesn't mean fitness shouldn't be a priority! I'm just sayin'.

All Around Entertainment

The UK version of X Factor was one of our favorite shows while living in Europe. And it continues to be a source of entertainment now that we're stateside. Take Johnny Robinson's take on Kylie's Can't Get You Outta My Head." Amazingly gay.

PS - Kelly Rowland and Gary Barlow are great additions to the panel.

Wishing I Were Pee Wee

Goodbye Angels

Toldja! ABC cancelled Charlie's Angels. Why the executives ever thought it would be a good idea is beyond me. Just looking at the promo shots, with their fingers in the air, makes me cringe. Perhaps the network should focus more on their current series like Desperate Housewives (that is down almost 30% from one year ago - all of which doesn't help Pan Am as it sits deep in third place in its time slot).

Time 2 Catch-up?

To be honest, I didn't think ABC's new show Revenge would stick. But the "soap drama" is holding its own on Wednesday nights. Perhaps it's the attractive cast - including Joshua Bowman and his character Daniel Grayson. In any case, perhaps I'll catch-up on missed episodes this week while Chris is away.

New & Noteworthy: Beyonce's Love on Top

There's something about Beyonce's Love on Top song that hits a homerun for me. Perhaps it's the tribute to early 80s, George Benson sound (such as Give Me the Night). In any case, I'm happy she finally has a video to support the track (pregnant or not). Check it out below.

Zachary Quinto is Gay?

I guess I never really thought about it, or cared about it, one way or another. But I'm proud of Zachary Quinto, aka Spock, for going public with his sexuality. Because by him doing so, and others, they'll affect change. As he wrote on his blog today:

"when i found out that jamey rodemeyer killed himself - i felt deeply troubled. but when i found out that jamey rodemeyer had made an it gets better video only months before taking his own life - i felt indescribable despair ... it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it - is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality.

...we are witnessing an enormous shift of collective consciousness throughout the world. we are at the precipice of great transformation within our culture and government. i believe in the power of intention to change the landscape of our society - and it is my intention to live an authentic life of compassion and integrity and action. jamey rodemeyer's life changed mine. and while his death only makes me wish that i had done this sooner - i am eternally grateful to him for being the catalyst for change within me. now i can only hope to serve as the same catalyst for even one other person in this world. that - i believe - is all that we can ask of ourselves and of each other."

Where's Chris?

For those of you wondering the whereabouts of Chris, look no further. Bondi Beach. Sydney. Rough day for sure.

Time 2 Think

At 2:35 p.m. today, I said farewell to my co-workers at Translation. After three months at the agency, I decided it was time to move on. I realized I know longer wanted that type of career.

So of course, with plans set for my new adventure in real estate, a marketing consulting opportunity presented itself today. Great money. 9 month gig. An amazing offer that includes working on an international level - culminating with the 2012 Olympics in London. I'm just not sure which way I'll go. I've got some thinking to do.

My grandma, who's in the hospital tonight, always used to buy Shasta cola for us during the summertime. So when we'd come home from the pool, I'd grab one of the many flavors - either cola or cherry (while my dad always opted for Diet Rite). Memories.

Henry Cavill Shirtles and Wet in Illinois

Wow. Superman sure is ripped! Though, he looks more like Wolverine than the Man of Steel.

Betty, Her Beefcake and Luciana

Betty White joins Luciana for I'm Still Hot - a video created to raise awareness for The Lifeline Program. Check out Betty's fierceness, and the supporting beefcake, below.

Shredded Kellan

Kellan Lutz, who's known more for his body than acting, graces the cover of this month's Men's Fitness. He's 6'1" with a shredded 195-pound build. Solid. And according to him, he ate 16 eggs every morning while training for the film Immortals. That's my problem - and I know it. I just don't eat enough eggs.

If you'd like to see video of Kellan working out, where he makes note of his dislike for gyms (which I find hard to believe with that body as that size requires some heaving weight lifting beyond throwing tires), go HERE.

In Preparation 4 Halloween

My friend DP, who's now back stateside (so no longer the Swiss correspondent but now the Windy City helper), posted the video below on his FB page. Apparently he played this song, Halloween by Kay Lande Selmer, composed and arranged by Wade Denning, over and over and over again during October growing up. And he played the entire album outside the house for trick-or-treaters. We might just have to do that for the little ghouls and goblins this October 31 when thousands swarm our neighborhood in search of candy.

Introducing Nick Youngquest

I thought it was appropriate to repost an image a friend featured on his Facebook page. I've never heard of Nick Youngquest, but his rugby playing skills have helped him to get down right dirty sexy.

And because some open PTT at work, I thought I'd start to add an "advisory" notice. That way, you know to perhaps scroll down slowly or do a head check first. Don't worry though, there's never any frontal nudity or porn. PTT doesn't resort to cheap tricks for increased hits.

Update: If you'd like to see more of Nick, including images some might consider inappropriate, go HERE. There's some good ones, trust me.

Yo B! Preggers or Not?

Having been working with Beyonce's management over the past few months, trying to secure a sponsorship deal with one of my agency's clients, I find THIS article about the singer's pregnancy interesting. Is she or isn't Beyonce pregnant? Read the humorous article for yourself and pay close attention to the accompanying short video that clearly shows her baby bump folding as she sits down.

Going Grandpa?

I was told yesterday that having Yahoo! as my home page makes me old. My co-workers, who are in their mid-twenties, laughed and compared it to AOL. Really? When did Yahoo! go Grandpa?

Need a Man Reminder?

The video below was created to remind women to check for breast cancer. But I'm sure it will appeal to many gay men who would like to have a man reminder just for the fun of it. I chose Anthony.

Welcome 2 Chicago Theo?

I don't watch baseball, so I had no clue who Theo Epstein was when the news was highlighting his potential gig with the Chicago Cubs. In any case, I can appreciate his boyish yet rugged good looks.
